These beautiful walnut slabs were salvaged from trees that property owners had cut down, usually because the trees had grown too big and were nearing the ends of their lives. The lumber was cut into slabs at an Amish family-owned mill in Michigan and then purchased by our supplier, who passed them along to us. All are rich in character, and some even have cracks that have been stabilized with ""butterfly keys"" that add another dimension of visual interest. I thought it would be bad quality, because it costs only 1039.99 . But I surprised, because amazingly it's very good product, maybe best One of a kind Walnut Slab 70'' L x 28'' W x 2-1/4'' Thickness!
